Understanding Giggle Trade's Grades

Devices are thoroughly inspected and graded, based on cosmetic condition and functionality.


Grade A+

No signs of use - in perfect or near-mint condition


Grade A

Light sign of use - may have some small blemishes


Grade B

General sign of use - some possible scratches you can notice


Grade C

Visible signs of use - moderate scratches and scuffs


Cosmetic checks

Looks for screen cracks, chips or lifting, checks the case quality and makes sure the buttons, ports and parts all look as they should.


Battery checks

Battery health capacity is tested to make sure it’s within acceptable levels.


Functionality checks

All ports, speakers, charging, locks, biometrics like Face ID and other important bits are checked to make sure they work as expected.


Protection checks

These checks make sure the phone is wiped, factory reset, unlocked and isn’t reported as lost or stolen.

Minor light scratches (non-tangible), or a single inconspicuous tangible scratch.

The LCD is intact with no leakage, bright spots, or dark spots. 

There may be more noticeable soft scratches and hard scratches than Grade B.

The LCD is intact with no leakage, but may show signs of normal aging such as bright spots or image persistence.

Body

No signs of use. Premium devices may be gently used or open-box returns.

The body is in good condition with no obvious bumps or paint chips (individual instances of single dot-like/line-like paint loss may be present);

There are minor signs of use (non-dense soft scratches, no hard scratches).

Possible minor scratches, paint chipping, and dents (across the entire body including the lens, otherwise in perfect condition).

There may be noticeable paint chipping and dents; The body is free from bending, deformation, or cracking.
